Large Car Sales In Canada November 2014 YTD

Canadian sales of volume-brand large cars continued their steady decline in November 2014 thanks to especially massive year-over-year drops from the Chrysler/Dodge duo and the Chevrolet Impalas seventh monthly decrease of 2014.

The disappearance of many Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 sales (not terribly surprising given a major model year transition) opened up an opportunity for the Ford Taurus to end November as Canadas top-selling big car. The 300 leads on year-to-date terms; the Charger ranks second.

 Kias Cadenza continues to be a rare sight on Canadian roads. Only 13 were reported sold in November. In the Cadenzas best ever Canadian month, September 2013, the total only climbed to 47 units. GCBC reviewed the 2014 Kia Cadenza in the summer of last year.

* Genesis refers only to the sedan, not the coupe. For Canadian purposes - Hyundai USA doesnt yet breakdown sales figures for the sedan and much less costly coupe - the Genesis will now be shown with both these volume brands, with which Hyundai is a direct competitor, and midsize luxury cars, with which the Genesis competes.
